RECORDERS!!!

All 4th graders in the Anchor Bay School District play recorders as a part of the curriculum.  Your child will receive a note home regarding pricing and color selection when we are ready to order recorders.  We will order recorders in December 2009 for the 2009-2010 school year.

Recorder colors available: Red, Blue, Green, Purple, Gold (see picture).  Each recorder comes with a cleaning rod and case (shown below).

Students are required to have recorders in class everyday as a part of their participation portion of their grade (50% of their grade is behavior/participation, 50% is skills).  If your child has trouble remembering things (4th graders have music on Monday and Wednesday mornings) then it may be a good idea to order 2 recorders, one to keep at school and one to keep at home.  You can order a second recorder at any time, but it is best and most timely to order it when we order the first batch.

If you already have a recorder at home, you DO NOT have to order another one.

Please contact me via email – twhite@abs.misd.net (the best way) or phone – 586-648-2500 x7679 if you have any questions regarding recorders.
